A Celebration of the American Spirit
Inspired by the tragic events of September 11, 2001, I decided to build this site to celebrate what I believe to be the true spirit of America. We all watched with horror and disbelief as thousands of our fellow citizens lost their lives in the worst attack on American soil in history. We have seen the destruction, we have seen the World Trade Center Twin Towers crash to the ground. We have seen the smoking ruins of the Pentagon. Heroes have given the last full measure of devotion. In a time of the worst devastation, we have seen the very best of America.
It is in this spirit that I share with you the images which have touched me most deeply. They come from near and far - people sharing their grief with us on foreign shores and our fellow citizens showing true patriotism.
